Dishwasher Leaking/dishes filmy, dirty after washing
Zoom Repair with Customer
to watch, click here

This person had a typical leaking dishwasher that is not the
fault of the dishwasher at all, and we see all too often. Too much
detergent, often mistaken as calcium buildup by techs and customers,
that is caused by the new detergents that don't have phosphates in
them anymore, due to the Obama Administration removing the
phosphates, to save a tiny fish.
The detergents now for washing machines and dishwashers, comes
in the sealed pods, thatadvertise being so much more concentrated,
and they are supposed to clean much better. WRONG! They
are 4X to 12X or higher concentration so whta this means, is that
you are washing with 4 to 12 times MORE DETERGENT!
If you are washing with 4 to 12 times MORE DETERGENT, what
do you expect t happen, it builds up and by the end of the wash
cycle, there is o much detergent left in the machine, that it RINSES
WITH DETERGENT, NOT CLEAN WATER! This builds up rock
hard in te dishwasher, and plugs up all the tubing, pump, wash arm,
etc, and with so much detergent, it foams over the front of the door,
at the bottom, where there is no need for a gasket, and leaks on the
floor! STOP USING THESE CONCENTRATED DETERGENT
PODS! GO Ack to powder cascade, and use very little, AFTER YOU
CLEAN OUT THE DISHWASHER WITH MANY BOTTLES
OF GLISTEN!
Whirlpool Refrigerator Iced up No Cool
Female Tenant Zoom Repair

This is a tenant who I helped to fix her refrigerator that was icing
up, caused by the door not closing all the way. She did a great job
staying with me in the repair and diagosis, and we worked together
to solve the no cool situation, and fix the problem that caused it to
start with. This shows that anyone, no matter how young, as this girl
was, can fix their own appliance, with my help on Zoom, if they stay
with me, and listen to what needs to be done.
She did a Great Job!

SubZero Drain, Gasket and Evaporator Repair Diagnosis
Customer Zoom Repair

This refrigerator had multiple problems, that started with the customer
ordering a gasket, that he thought was causing all the problems.
After speaking with him, I told him there was more than one things
going on, not related to each other. We went on Zoom, and I identified
with him following my directions, that the gasket is not the problem
but due to it's age, should be replaced, but that he had a drain that was
plugged up, and also was low on freon, and needed the evaporator,
heat exchanger and compressor replaced, to get his 20 yr old unit back
to new condition! He didn't have to go buy a new unit for over $10
Grand, as he was told, but using my Restoration Sealed System Kits
I have available, he could save $8 Plus Thousand dollars, and wouldn't have
to get rid of his refrigerator that had wooden door panels custom made
for it, and also wouldn't have to remodel his kitchen, saving him an additional
$20 to $40 thousand dollars! This is very common and very likely will
happen to your unit also, so if you have been told you need a New SubZero
and your cannot be fixed contact me, and I will guide you in the right
direction to fix your older and better unit, and save you many thousands
of dollars!
Compressor Connections - Freon Charge Pressures
HVAC Tech - Zoom Repair

This was an HVAC Tech that contacted me, not used to working on
domestic refrigerators, like a SubZero, that had replaced the
compressor, but wanted to make sure he wired the compressor properly,
before putting power to it. I walked him through the simple wiring of the
compressor, and he was all set.

Compressor Replacement with Difficult Customer
Non-Tech Customer Sealed System - Zoom Repair

Take heed to this, Techs that are still wrestling with R12 systems
when you don't have to be, and can just upgrade to a R134a
Compressor, and convert the sytem to R134a, with a slight
bit of knowledge and work to do so. Get with the times, and stop
making it more difficult for customers, by putting R12 compressors
in, when you need to be converting the system to R134a!
This was an R12 system, that this normal customer converted to an
R134a system, with my guidance, which I have been doing
since 1991, and NEVER HAD A SYSTEM SLUDGE UP!
Despite the LIES about converting R12 to R134a, that
started back in 1991 when R12 was being banned,
that it would cause the system to "sludge up",
which is ABSOLUTELY FALSE AND NONSENSE,
started by the appliance manufacturers, to force new sales,
SubZero being the biggest offender of this and telling customers
it cannot be fixed, that they have to buy a New $10-$15 Grand
unit, and get rid of the older R12 systems, and get a new
refrigerator with R134a in it.
There is NO NEED TO GET RID
OF AN R12 SYSTEM, AND DO NOT LET THE TECH
CHANGE OUT THE COMPRESSOR AND PUT ANOTHER
R12 COMPRESSOR IN IT, WHEN R12 IS BANNED, AND
THEY ARE STRUGGLING TO FIND REPLACEMENT
FREON THAT WILL WORK WTH THE R12 OIL IN THE
R12 COMPRESSOR, WHEN YOU ARE SIMPLY BEING
IGNORANT, UNEDCUATED AND DOING
THE CUSTOMER A DISSERVICE
!
You can see how patient I am, despite his wanting to
continuously do his own thing, not listen to what
I am instructing him is the proper way to
do the repair, but after 11 torcherous hrs,
we got the compressor replaced, and cooling again.
This customer did not have any of the tools to
do the job, but bought them and I taught him
how to properly use them, to get the job done.
He did not have anyone in his are that would do the
repair, or wanted to rip him off, and severely over-charge him!
Normally, if he would have listened to me and done as I
was instructing him to do, he would have gotten this repair done
in 2-3 hours, which is what it usually takes a tech to do it in,
or less. Usually, customers listen, but this person seemed
to think there were better and easier ways to do things,
than what I was instructing him to do, but then found
out after wasting hours of trying to do things his way
that his way didn't work, so he did it my way. Very difficult
to stay patient on my end, but I did the entire time.

Thermostat Diagnosis and Replacement with Difficult Customer
Non-Tech Customer - Zoom Repair
to watch, click here

After we got the compressor replaced, and cooling again.
He contacted me again, and said the compressor would not run.
In this video, we traced down the electrical circuit to the compressor
and found that the thermostat power wire had melted, and melted off
the terminal in the thermostat, and he needed to replace the
thermostat. Needing to order the thermostat, he needed the
refrigerator to run, until it arrived, so we bipassed the
thermosta with a normal lighting switch, so that he could
manually monitor the refrigerator as it cooled, and turn
it on and off, for the few days until I rushed the thermostat to him.
As you can see, it worked out great and he was not without a refrigerator
for the time it took to get and replace the thermostat.
If he would have had a service man come out, they would
not have bipassed it for him, and just said, you
have to wait until the thermostat comes in, in a week or so,
and he would have been without a refrigerator.
